Islamic Centres of ICWS
ICWS (Islamic Culture and Welfare Society) with the support of the HK Muslims, operates two main centres in the city, one for men in Shau Kei Wan and one for women in Causeway Bay. Each centre includes a masjid that serves the needs of the Muslim community by providing a peaceful environment for worship for the five daily prayers (Salah), Friday prayer (Jumu‘ah), Taraweeh prayers and so on.
Shau Kei Wan Islamic Centre
The Shau Kei Wan Islamic Centre is a dedicated space for worship where all five daily prayers (Salah), including Fajr (dawn prayer), are performed. The centre holds Jumu‘ah (Friday prayer) every week at 1:30 PM. During the month of Ramadan, it also hosts Taraweeh prayers, Qur’an recitation sessions, and Qur’an, academic classes and so on.
After School Lessons
We offer after-school Islamic classes for children and young students, focusing on Qur’an recitation, basic Islamic knowledge, and character development.
Daily & Jumuah Prayers
Five daily prayers and weekly Jumu‘ah (Friday prayer) in a peaceful community setting.
Academic Support for DSE
We provide academic classes for secondary school students and DSE exam candidates, helping them prepare for their studies and examinations.
Iftar Gatherings
Community gatherings to break the fast together during Ramadan in a warm and welcoming environment.
Causeway Bay Ladies Centre
Located near the Hong Kong Central Library, the Causeway Bay Islamic Ladies Centre is a dedicated women-only facility. It provides a welcoming space where sisters come together for Islamic gatherings, Qur’an lessons, and religious education. The centre also offers weekly Qur’an and Islamic classes specifically for girls, held on both weekdays and weekends, helping them build a strong foundation in their faith. During the month of Ramadan, the centre hosts Taraweeh prayers and iftar gatherings, creating an atmosphere of unity, worship, and spiritual connection. It is the only women-only Islamic centre in Hong Kong dedicated to serving the needs of the female Muslim community.
One-to-One Islamic Lessons for Sisters
We offer personalized, appointment-based Islamic lessons for sisters. Sisters can book sessions according to their own availability and learn at their own pace. Lessons are tailored to individual levels.
After-School Programs for Children
Our after-school program provides a safe and engaging environment for girls and boys up to the age of seven. The program combines Islamic education with fun activities and basic language learning, helping children grow both academically and spiritually.
Weekend Gatherings for Sisters
Our weekend programs bring sisters together in a warm and friendly environment. Activities include cooking, social gatherings, and group discussions, creating opportunities to connect, learn, and build a strong sense of community.
Part-Time Hifz Program for Girls (Coming Soon)
We will soon be launching a part-time Hifz (Qur’an memorization) program exclusively for girls. This program aims to support students in memorizing the Qur’an while balancing their daily studies.
Zakat Services
We assist in calculating and distributing your Zakat (obligatory charity) correctly and responsibly. Our team ensures that your Zakat reaches eligible recipients according to Islamic guidelines, supporting those most in need.
Qurbani Services
We organize Qurbani (sacrifice) on your behalf and distribute the meat to needy families, Qur’an students, and refugees in overseas regions. Our goal is to ensure your sacrifice reaches those who need it most, in a transparent and meaningful way.
Overseas Support for Needy Communities
We deliver essential aid to underprivileged communities in various countries. Our programs include Ramadan food packs, iftar meals, water well projects, Eid gifts, and direct Zakat support to families in need.
Scholarships for University Students
We provide financial support and scholarships for university students, particularly in Istanbul and selected European countries. This program helps students continue their education and build a better future.
